| | The email I had originally sent out about this, was dated in September of '06. I might have blogged about this at some point in time, but I'm not totally sure... and a quick scan didn't reveal it. A-n-d, seeings how we are in to the holiday season, where so many people do more than the normal amount of cooking and baking, I figured it was a good time to share the emails contents again. Pan Coating Spray is a WONDERFUL invention in my opinion!!!! I much prefer spraying to scrubbing!!!! But over time I have found many other ways to use it and be energy (aka: effort) efficient ;-> ~ Spray the inside of your measuring cup before measuring peanutbutter, honey, molasses, etc. This makes it very easy to scoop the product back out with a rubber spatula, besides making it a breeze to clean. ~ Spray your pastry blender before using it to a) blend your pie dough b) chop up the yolks when making deviled eggs, or c) mix together the cream cheese and other cheeses for a cheese ball. ~ Spray your ladel before using it to make muffins or pancakes - the dough slides out much easier and cleaning later is way easier! ~ Spray you counter before putting down flour to roll out pie, cookie, or bread dough, far less dough sticking occurs. (the same goes for pizza dough) ~ Spray your rolling pin before putting flour on it to roll out doughs. ~ Spray the inside of Tupperware or Rubbermaid continers before putting in Tomatoe base products to avoid staining. ~ Lightly spray the inside of serving bowls for anything sticky, such as: Mac & Cheese, Cheesie Potatoes, Stuffing (anybody hungry ;-P) ~ Spray your pancake turner before using it - wet dough scrapes off easily. ~ You don't have to use papers when baking muffins or cupcakes - just HEAVILY spray the insides of the baking pan. Once done baking wait 10 minutes and then with a finger pop the product out and up on it's side to cool - or - put on a wire rack to cool, heavily spray pan again and bake some more. My spray of preferance is Vegaline available through GFS, as well as elsewhere I'm sure. If you figure it out by cost per spray, it is far better of a deal than most other brands, PLUS it really works!!! I 'plan' on linking this particular posting to: |
